JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Sr. Director of IT PMO to join our growing team.
As The Sr. Director, Global PMO you are responsible for establishing and leading the Project Management Office for IT in support of JELD-WEN’s overall Business Transformation Program. You and your team will manage delivery of a full portfolio of complex, multi-million-dollar transformation projects that require IT support. Scope includes managing all phases of delivery using a stage gate process and, at times, scrum. Additionally, this role is responsible for leading overall financial management of the IT organization including all areas of spending, both expense and capital.
The position will provide project and financial reporting to JELD-WEN leadership teams and drive cross-team coordination within the business and technical functions. The Sr. Director, Global PMO has responsibility for successful completion and delivery of transformation projects by maintaining a robust governance methodology and approach which includes managing scope, cost, schedule, and contractual deliverables. Project approach also includes applying techniques for planning, solution architecture, tracking, change control, financial tracking, and risk management. This position is based at the Charlotte, North Carolina headquarters and reports directly to the CIO.
What You Will Do
- Manage the delivery of a portfolio of projects, including developing deliverables, budgets, and schedules.
- Continually improve the JELD-WEN Project Management Methodology globally.
- Support core IT strategies for cybersecurity, data, integration, and overall composable application strategy.
- Establish annual financial operating plans that cover both operating expenses and capital spending.
- Lead the IT Monthly Business (financial) Review (MBR) process across key entities and regions, including managing the annual IT budget process.
- Lead staffing planning activities across the IT organization to ensure resource plans align with financial objectives and vice versa.
- Lead the administration of all major IT sourcing and contracting activities across the IT enterprise.
- Serve as the customer liaison, ensuring proper communications, coordination of activities, scope management, change control, issues management, risk management, deliverable quality assurance, and milestone achievement.
- Ensure project plans properly cover all delivery phases, including post go-live hypercare and transition of services to ongoing support.
- Facilitate customer meetings to ensure alignment between IT and the business.
- Attract, develop, and retain high-performing Project Managers and analysts.
Who You Are
- Minimum 15 years of information technology experience.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 10 years project management experience using structured methodology.
- Minimum 10 years of large-scale IT program delivery experience including the following types of projects: ERP implementations, packaged software deployments and upgrades, software development, product evaluations/selection, cybersecurity initiatives, and infrastructure/platform management.
- Demonstrated success at improving employee engagement and growing talent.
- 5 years of direct employee supervision experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in technology or related field.

- Program Management - Proven ability to manage a large and complex portfolio of IT projects, including multi-year ERP programs, digital programs, corporate function, sourcing, and operational projects.

- Project Delivery - Knowledge of how to track complete projects to avoid delays, cost overruns, and achieve targeted business outcomes.
- IT Function Knowledge - Understanding of the core IT function, roles, and processes, including run and maintain, security, compliance, and projects.
- IT Financial Planning - Deep understanding of the inputs to IT financial planning, such as staffing schedules for both employees and contractors, contracts for statements of work, licensing, and hosting.
- Organizational Leadership – Provide helpful feedback, share information, and find opportunities to help others develop abilities. Identify opportunities for positive organizational change and establish structures or processes to manage the changes. Take the lead in implementing and reinforcing change and support others in those efforts. Express, model, and reinforce effective teamwork between and within departments.
