Job Title: Senior Product Manager, Wood Windows

 

 

Summary: Under the general supervision of the Director of Wood Windows, the Senior Product Manager is responsible for day-to-day management of existing products while leading the development and execution of the road map for growth of product lines that are manufactured at the various JELD-WEN facilities and purchased by the vendors and customers of JELD-WEN. This position works closely with team members of the marketing, commercial, finance, sourcing, engineering, R&D, and operations functions to ensure continuity, quality and product excellence while collaborating to meet company goals and objectives.

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

  • Manage the entire product life cycle of Wood Windows including new product development and legacy line management.
  • Plan, lead, and actively manage the process of introducing new products to the market while developing marketing strategies for profitable market share gain.
  • Develop requirements for new products and changes for existing products based upon industry and market analysis.
  • Collaborate in a cross functional environment with engineering, operations, R&D, sourcing, finance, and marketing to implement new product designs and features in a timely manner.
  • Establish cost targets and participate in product pricing and sales forecasting.
  • Recognize new business opportunities and lead effort to justify new investments.
  • Provide business development support and technical expertise to Commercial team.
  • Conduct periodic competitive/market analysis and voice of customer to stay current with relevant technical changes in the industry. Perform competitive research to determine new market opportunities and positioning strategies.
  • Work with the marketing team to develop marketing collateral materials.
  • Interface regularly with PLM/Senior management for product line reviews.
  • Interfaces with manufacturing team, including continuous Improvement, on product integrity, sustainability, and efficiency.
  • Establish, monitor, and report on key performance metrics to the organization and appropriate senior management on the assigned product line and individual product performance throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Comply with all JELD-WEN corporate guidelines.
