JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Sr Director, Program Management to join our growing team.

 

THE ROLE

The Sr. Director, Program Management will report to JELD-WEN’s VP of Global Transformation and will be a valued member of the Transformation Management Office (TMO). This individual will be responsible for overseeing and driving a portfolio of strategic projects across multiple areas. The leader in this role will lead a team of project managers, ensuring successful project delivery within scope, time and budget while aligning with company objectives. This position will work closely with senior leadership, cross-functional teams, and external stakeholders to prioritize, plan, and execute projects that drive operational efficiencies and support business growth.

 

This individual will be adept at business partnering to key stakeholders, including members of JELD-WENs Senior Leadership Team. The ideal candidate must possess and display a global mindset, a positive can-do attitude and have a passion for leading business change and transformation.

 

This preferred location for this position is Charlotte, NC (relocation benefits are available) and reports to the VP Transformation. Other JELD-WEN locations will be considered for qualified candidates. The default work schedule for this position will be 3-5 days per week in the office with plenty of flexibility for remote work as needed.

 

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and strategic objectives
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of project managers and project leads
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executives and cross-functional teams
  • Ensure successful delivery of projects within scope, time, and budget constraints
  • Drive project execution through effective resource allocation, risk management, and issue resolution
  • Develop and implement metrics and KPIs to measure program performance and impact
  • Develop comprehensive governance and reporting for executive leadership and stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely reporting of program status, risks, and outcomes
  • Implement process improvement initiatives to enhance program efficiency and effectiveness

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to influence stakeholders within a matrixed operating environment
  • High-level problem-solving skills with proven ability to navigate complex challenges
  • Strong team management and mentoring capabilities
  • Financial acumen with experience managing a portfolio of project budgets and resources
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Travel: ~10%

 

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline
  • 10+ years project management experience, with at least 5 years of experience as a program manager responsible for multiple, concurrent projects
  • 5+ years in a leadership role managing a team of project managers
  • Recommend 5+ years in manufacturing or related field
  • Experience working in a transformational environment
  • Experience managing team members across multiple locations as well as virtually

Expected pay for this role is between $190,600.00 to $317,700.00 per year and is based on experience and qualifications.​
