The Solution Architect, Planning and Scheduling, is a key member of the Plan to Manufacture (P2M) JELD-WEN Enterprise Transformation (JET) team responsible for planning, designing, deploying, and supporting global JELD-WEN planning and scheduling solutions (S/4 HANA PPDS and SAP IBP). He/she will work collaboratively with Corporate and Regional Business leadership teams to achieve strategic goals and deliver JELD-WEN planning and scheduling solutions globally.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, implement and maintain effective planning and scheduling solutions
  • Lead a project to deploy SAP IBP Demand and Supply Planning across North America
  • Develop a plan with global IT and business partners to deploy SAP IBP globally
  • Guide the optimization of the S/4 HANA PPDS solution
  • Build and maintain partnerships with IT and business leaders across JELD-WEN
  • Serve as escalation point for operational issues

Education and Experience


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Supply Chain, Management Information Systems, Business Administration or related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in Production Planning and SAP IBP, with at least 5-10 years total experience with SAP
  • Expert knowledge and hands on configuration skills in Production planning, PPDS heuristics, demand planning/forecasting, and supply planning
  • A track record of influencing and negotiating with key stakeholders at various levels across organizational boundaries
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and resolve conflicts; handle shifting priorities in a flexible manner
  • Exceptional communication skills: Influence, collaboration and expectation management to work with global Information Technology and business teams to deliver expected results
  • Full lifecycle implementation experience
  • Experience working for a manufacturing company where products are make-to-order, make-to-stock and variant configuration
  • Proven ability to develop business cases to justify technology projects
  • Ability to problem solve and have a keen interest in emerging technology and trends
  • Demonstrable experience of understanding business requirements and interpreting business processes with the ability to design optimal solutions that meet business needs
  • Successful track record of working with the business user community and IT colleagues, to plan and execute global projects, implement enhancements and provide ongoing support
  • Experience developing training content and providing knowledge transfer to business “Super Users”

  • Plant manufacturing experience (Time in plant & time spent on floor)
  • Working knowledge of EWM and TM
  • MES integration experience
