JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to join our growing team.




The Senior Cybersecurity analyst is a member of the Cybersecurity and compliance team and works closely with IT leadership and other members of the team to develop and implement a comprehensive information security program for JELD-WEN. The ideal candidate will have an experience as a senior security analyst for a global organization and be proficient with Microsoft 365. The position is also responsible for maintaining and operating technologies for network, email and endpoints threat monitoring, detection, response, and access control. The candidate should be detail-oriented, have excellent analytical skills, and have a strong understanding of IT security principles.

This position will be located in Charlotte, NC and reports to the Sr Director, Cybersecurity & Compliance. Under certain circumstances, telecommuting can be accommodated.


Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitor network, systems, and logs to ensure availability to all systems. Administer, manage, and use system and applications vulnerability scanning tools. Investigate and respond to security events and potential incidents in accordance with the prescribed procedures.
  • By partnering with Enterprise Architecture, facilitate the selection and implementation of information security solutions including, but not limited to, anti-virus, anti-malware, firewalls, virtual private network (VPN), intrusion detection and prevention (IDP) and security information and event management (SIEM).
  • Work with JELD-WEN’s business units and with other risk functions to identify security requirements, using methods that may include risk and business impact assessments. Components of this activity include but are not limited to:
    • Business system analysis.
    • Communication, facilitation and consensus building.
  • Perform required network and server vulnerability assessments and routine audits of the JELD-WEN’s IT infrastructure configuration to ensure security best practices are being followed.
  • Respond to cyber incidents, performing detailed analysis using complex security tools to determine root cause and effects. Use knowledge, understanding, and experience of disparate skills (e.g. networking, servers, coding, etc.) to figure out the malicious actor's tactics, techniques and procedures. Train new analysts in incident response.
  • Conduct forensic analysis of compromised systems to determine the attack vector and the consequences of the breach. Use the discoveries from the incident response process to make significant and/or complex Improvements to the existing detection capabilities, operational processes and security controls.
  • Conduct advanced vulnerability, security configuration, and/or penetration testing assessments and manage the remediation activities.
  • Research and analyze the latest information security vulnerabilities, threats, exploits, trends and intelligence and share information to peer teams
  • Play an advisory role in application development or acquisition projects to assess security requirements and controls and to ensure that security controls are implemented as planned
  • Develop and validate baseline security configurations for operating systems, applications, and networking and telecommunications equipment.
  • Monitor daily or weekly reports and security logs for unusual events and provide second- and third-level support and analysis during and after a security incident.
  • Participate in Cybersecurity exercises such as tabletops, red team and blue team exercises to improve detection and response capabilities


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities


  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 and Azure Active Directory support and implementation.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of information risk concepts and principles, as a means of relating business needs to security controls
  • Excellent technical knowledge of mainstream operating systems (Microsoft Windows, AIX, Linux) and wide range of security technologies such as network security appliances, antimalware solutions and desktop security tools
  • Knowledge of common security management frameworks such as NIST, COSO and COBIT
  • Experience with Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) tools
  • Knowledge of the fundamentals of project management and experience in creating and managing project plans including budgeting and resource allocation
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills



Education and Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a combination of information security, risk management, security review, incident response and infrastructure
  • Demonstrated experience with end-user client computing systems including Windows and Linux OS
  • Demonstrated experience with server and network infrastructure, virtual servers and network routing, switching and firewalls
