The Global SAP Security and Controls Manager is responsible for the SAP GRC security design, access controls implementation and ongoing support as part of the large-scale SAP ERP and SAP Finance programs. This role will collaborate with a diverse IT subject matter experts, business process owners and internal audit to establish and maintain effective access controls and system settings to ensure proper SODs and least privileged access. This role will also have an interaction with key stakeholders and senior leaders to communicate analysis, problems and solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the technical application design, development, and implementation activities for all aspects of user management and roles & authorizations in SAP
  • Maintain a global ruleset to manage segregation of duties (SoD) conflicts within SAP environments
  • Apply analytical skills to evaluate and interpret Segregation of Duties(i.e. qualitative information, quantitative research, data trends)
  • Advise IT and business owners related to SAP Security, IT General Controls and IT application controls.
  • Work across process and technology teams to understand IT risks and address the risks.
  • Author the global authorization, security, and user administration for the SAP ERP and SAP Finance programs
  • Participate in SOX control and control monitoring activities in support of JELD-WEN’s Corporate Compliance
  • Manage a Team of Security Administrators to ensure JELD-WEN Endusers have prompt and knowledgeable support in all aspects of provisioning and issue resolution
  • Collaborate in a team environment to assist in the validation and testing of internal controls recommendations and to develop detailed requirements
  • Participate with the functional teams to develop appropriate security controls and provide feedback on custom security requirements
  • Develop and conduct training related to security designs, SAP GRC access controls, Segregation of Duties and IT Controls.
  • Develop, manage, and monitor Development project plan, establish, and communicate key milestones to sub-team leads and PMO
  • Represent JELD-WEN’s interests and provide guidance in all areas where SAP Security and Controls are directly or indirectly involved
  • Participate in strategy planning for the Security environment to ensure JELD-WEN is using Best Practices and leveraging current technology to achieve the best results 


This position will be based at JELD-WEN Corporate headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina, though provisions may be made to work remotely.

 Education and Experience


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in the aspects of SAP security as well as SAP governance, risk, and compliance (GRC)
  • At least 2 Demonstrated Global full life cycle SAP Enterprise Resource Planning implementations.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ Sarbanes Oxley controls experience.
  • Proven experience in an Enterprise team management role and previous responsibility for functional and technical guidance over the whole project lifecycle.
  • Good knowledge of new SAP technologies such as Fiori, S/4HANA, and GRC
  • Ability to engage with internationally distributed SAP teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and resolve conflicts; handle shifting priorities in a flexible manner.
  • Exceptional communication skills: Influence, collaboration and expectation management to work with Global Information Technology and business teams to deliver expected results.


  • Prior SAP S/4HANA experience a strong plus.
  • Certification as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) a plus
  • Knowledge of and experience securing big data platforms and tools a plus
  • Multi foreign language skills are a plus.
