Risk Data & Systems Manager

JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Risk Data & Systems Manager to join our growing team.

The Opportunity

As a Risk Data & Systems Manager at JELD-WEN, you will be responsible for direct oversight and management of all Risk Management Web applications, databases and every aspect associated with the data. That would include validation of accuracy of the data and meeting all reporting requirements (including SOX compliance requirements) and requested outputs. Another responsibility would be to facilitate project management with other internal and external groups and the ability to communicate all project summaries to the executive team. Other responsibilities include focusing on continuous improvement in efficiencies related to all processes within the control of Risk Management – this can be achieved by better web interfaces, data flow and automated workflows and better user interfaces. You will report directly to the Vice President, Insurance & Risk Management.

This is a hybrid role that can be based in our Charlotte, NC or Klamath Falls, OR facility.

What You Will Do

• Work with all co-workers to evaluate existing and new processes to maximize the greatest output efficiencies for continuous improvements.
• Manage all existing databases and user interfaces to applications for department processes.
• Manage multiple projects at the same time.
• Assist in the management of third parties related to applications that the department is using.
• Assist in the annual budget development process.
• Participates in the annual Liability and Worker’s Compensation insurance renewal process and assist team with data requirements and report outputs.
• Prepares statistical reports of claims activity and submits reports/findings to the Department as requested.
• Assists in developing, implementing, and guiding the risk management/safety procedures; prepares and presents risk-related resolutions to management.
• Assist with facilitating the department needs for all personal computers being used.

Who You Are

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional designation.
• 2 + years of SQL Processes Management. 
  • Design, build, deploy and maintain many SQL jobs that integrate and maintain the Risk data streams, automatically monitor tasks and reporting and generate many alerts and notifications.
• 2 + years of web design and development – focusing on User interface.
• Must have a professional demeanor, strong reporting and presentation skills, and be able to communicate effectively with colleagues across the globe, both orally and in writing.
• Timeliness, attention to detail, accuracy, adaptability, resourcefulness, and dependability are required.
• Candidates must have robust critical thinking and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to self-manage by effective prioritization of multiple responsibilities and tasks.
