THE ROLE

As a valued member of the global procurement team, the Sourcing Program Manager will be responsible to execute global programs, deliver and implement best in class, Sourcing Methodologies + Processes and Tools, to enhance our Supply Management Partners efficiency and improving ease of work in the organization. The programs are of various nature and around, but not limited to: Digitalization of Sourcing Processes and tools, SRM, Development of control towers, Category strategy processes, Sourcing processes and tools, Sourcing University, Communication and reporting, Sourcing Project Database and Tracking Tool, and KPI Assessment and Monitoring.

 

This role will develop and implement internal/external sourcing best practices, tools, and templates across our Sourcing organization. This role will lead Sourcing programs and projects that will deliver tools and processes to improve, change, and drive results.  This role will represent sourcing in various cross-functional projects while partnering with our supply management business teams, Global categories group and our functional groups such as Continuous Improvement, Global Supply Chain, Quality, etc. to ensure project/program strategies are fully aligned and destined for success.

 

The Sourcing Program Manager must ensure key deliverables are met in a timely and accurate fashion by building strong partnerships across the program and within functional teams, and clearly communicating at all levels to illuminate opportunities and risks.

 

Additionally, the Sourcing Program Manager will assist Sourcing Leadership to regularly track, monitor, audit, and report on the key performance indicators and goals for the Sourcing function. 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the overall planning, control, status reporting, stability, and delivery of critical Sourcing projects to ensure delivery of plan to time and quality.
  • Proactively identify process improvement opportunities (continuous improvement) within Sourcing areas
  • Develop and implement standardized process across Sourcing
  • Review Category Managers annual plans and support as necessary to achieve all primary and secondary KPI targets, such as Supply Agreements, Category Strategy, Lead Times, Payment Terms. 
    • Continuously monitor, report, and follow-up with all Sourcing team members to achieve expected results.
    • Report performance of project implementation and team member contribution to each project
  • Evaluate the estimated project savings, timing, and probability of all identified Sourcing projects that fall within the defined parameters (i.e.. projects valued at $0.5M in savings/avoidance, touches three or more departments, and/or capital investment projects). 
  • Manage implementation schedules for commodity strategies and supply agreements.
  • Serves as the Sourcing representative for NPD projects, and ensures that all Sourcing deliverables are met on-time (ie. PFEP, PPAP, Pricing, etc).
  • Works cross functionally with key stakeholders, such as Finance, PLM, Sales, Operations, and Supply Chain to develop and maintain weekly and/or month updates on relevant Sourcing indicators that are important to the success of the business.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and at least 7+ years of experience in Supply Management, Supply Chain, Operations, or similar functions in a large, multi-divisional organization
  • Project/Program Management experience in Integrated Supply Chain with emphasis on Sourcing and New Product Integration
  • Experience developing and operationalizing strategy
  • Ability to lead change in a complex environment
  • Strong facilitation, influencing, organizing, and presentation/communication skills
  • Proven ability to achieve results through building partnerships and influence skills
  • Experience in cross-functional commodity/category teams.

  • Lean Manufacturing knowledge
