The National Account Manager (NAM) will be responsible for achieving sales growth and multi-line penetration of all company products with assigned accounts.  This role requires a range of skills from closing sales and nurturing relationships to strategic planning and cross-functional leadership.  As a valued member of the Sales team, the National Account Manager will work with the company’s biggest customers to build long term, strategic partnerships.  This position will be located in Charlotte, NC and reports to the Vice President of National Accounts.


Principle Duties and Responsibilities


  • Establish, Implement and Drive inter-company partnership with assigned Key Account(s) for a shared vision of growth and execution that utilizes annual planning & supporting initiatives
  • Develop & employ cross functional collaboration & leadership to realize planned outcomes
  • Communicate plans, initiatives, product features and value across all levels of the Account(s) from executives to sales representatives
  • Evaluate performance of existing programs, implementation of new programs, and new opportunities
  • Acquire deep knowledge of company product, installation, and services
  • Improve and update marketing efforts regularly
  • Develop and achieve sales volume and expense budgets
  • Provide weekly updates of all actions and issues to company operations and sales departments

  • Superior communication skills to present concepts & ideas to all stakeholders
  • Utilize value selling approach to develop in depth knowledge of the company and key account(s) to create offers that deliver value to both
  • Experience and success using a strategic approach that will achieve short-term objectives and maintain a priority for the long-term relationship with the key account(s)
  • Manage relationships at all levels within the account(s), and inside JELD-WEN with confident command and respect for all stakeholders
  • Apply superior presentation skills & sense of timing to push back when necessary and negotiate agreements that will grow the lifetime value of JELD-WEN’s relationship with the key account(s)


Education and Experience


  • Bachelors’ degree (B.A.) or equivalent education from an accredited institution
  • Expectation of deep experience and expertise in related Sales with a minimum of five (5) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferably in the window and door industry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Customer Relationship Management Software, Electronic Pricing Catalogue, Expense Reporting Program, and Internet Web Browser.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • The employee may be required to travel in support of sales and service management.  50%+
