THE ROLE - NATIONAL ACCOUNT MANAGER - LOWE'S
Responsible for achieving sales growth and multi-line penetration of all company products.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- Specialize in sales, management, and service to an assigned National Account Customer.
- Develop and achieve sales volume and expense budgets.
- Hire, train, and supervise support personnel as needed.
- Develop guidelines for product training and ensure that a training program is implemented at region/store level. This responsibility should fall to the field managers – either Coordinating Regional Managers or Regional Managers.
- Communicate with millwork buyers regarding performance of existing programs, implementation of new programs, and new opportunities.
- Be a products, service and installation knowledge expert.
- Improve and update marketing efforts regularly.
- Provide weekly updates of all actions and issues to company operations and sales departments
- Other duties may be assigned
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Customer Relationship Management Software, Electronic Pricing Catalogue, Expense Reporting Program.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- The employee may be required to travel in support of sales and service management, possibly up to 25%
Education and Experience
- Bachelors’ degree (B.A.) or equivalent from four-year college; or minimum of five years related sales experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferably in the home center industry.
