Enterprise Architect

JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Enterprise Architect to join our growing team.

The Opportunity

As an Enterprise Architect you will be accountable for proactively and holistically leading the analysis and plan for information technology that supports the desired business vision and targeted outcomes. This includes working with all business functions, working alongside solution architects within their specific domains, as well as technical architects including data, integration, and infrastructure.  You are responsible for taking a practical approach to supporting the business with recommendations on technology that optimizes return on investment and total cost of ownership.  A primary focus will be on the JELD-WEN Transformation Office initiatives and supporting a composable application architecture strategy.  You will report directly to the Sr. Director, Architecture Development Data.

What You Will Do

• Lead the development of an enterprise architecture plan based on business strategy and requirements.
• Ensure the linkage of business strategy with technology capability to achieve targeted business outcomes.
• Lead and facilitate the creation of governance, assurance, and standards to guide EA decision making.
• Actively participate in the deployment of top priority technology deployments.
• Quantify and communicate the value of enterprise architecture.

Who You Are

• 15+ years working with diverse application portfolios.
• Experience in manufacturing sector. Door and window manufacturing preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline.
• Proven track record of establishing technical strategy to enable targeted business outcomes.
• Minimum of 15+ years working with diverse application portfolios covering multiple areas of functionality including:
  • Enterprise Resource Planning: Quote to Cash, Plan to Manufacture, Procure to Pay, Record to Report
  • Sales and Marketing: Lead to Quote, Customer Experience.
  • Design to Manufacture: Engineering, Product Life Cycle Management, Product Information Management
  • Human Resource Systems: Hire to Retire, Payroll, Learning.
  • Data and Reporting: Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing/Hubs/Data Lakes, Self Service Analytics
  • Data Integrations: Design and implementation of robust system data transfer technology and patterns
  • Application Development:  Software development life cycle management in multiple technologies
• Knowledge of business ecosystems, SaaS, infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), SOA, APIs, open data, microservices, event-driven IT

• Excels at process re-engineering and implementing standard processes.
• Familiar with using CI / CD principles as well as Azure DevOps for application lifecycle management.
• Skilled at collaborating with all levels of Business and IT personnel

• Experienced with agile and waterfall methodologies.
• Positive attitude and contributor to great culture
• Quick learner, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong facilitation and negotiation capabilities 
• ITIL, PMP, and Agile certifications are a plus.
