Purpose of Position

Reporting to the VP, Global Talent Management, this role will lead and govern all global annual talent programs including, but not limited to the company’s annual Strategic Talent Planning Process, Performance Management Process, annual Engagement Survey, and annual Reward and Recognition programs. Further this role will set the direction for the design, development and deployment of the global talent strategy, including programs and processes to drive overall talent development and business growth. The role will collaborate with stakeholders across the HR team, as well as talent development teams in AUA and Europe to offer a holistic talent management experience that delivers value to the business by designing and implement relevant programs that support the broader talent strategy. The role will partner with the Global Learning Manager to ensure cohesion between talent development, learning and training and internal talent mobility and with the head of Diversity and Inclusion programs to ensure the talent development initiatives support the company’s D&I strategies.

Within the NA region, the role leads a team responsible for the Early Career Program and Summer Intern program, as well as corporate onboarding.

The role is responsible for establishing and managing consistent global standards/frameworks for all annual programs, while interfacing with key stakeholder across the organization to determine ongoing improvements, business needs and local needs/preferences to ensure robust solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a deep expertise in talent management and organizational culture and engagement with a passion for delivering tangible results to the business. The role will require new and innovative solutions the fit for both global and regional talent needs.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead the overarching global strategy, direction and implementation of enterprise-wide Performance Management, Engagement and Reward and Recognition programs.
  • Lead the overarching global needs assessment and strategy design for talent development, including design, development and management of global programs, and processes, and assistance with regional talent development needs.
  • Ensure consistency and alignment with global leadership model, assessment strategy and global branding.
  • Partner with business leaders, talent leaders, and HR leaders to create, update, and improve talent development programs based on business strategies and related human capital needs existing. Serve as an advocate for current and best practice program designs based in external research.
  • Lead the team in North America managing the Early Career Rotation and Intern Programs and corporate onboarding.
  • Partner with the Global Learning manager to complete needs assessment, evaluate and create content, select vendors, and define the cohesive vision for learning and leadership development. Ensure that the version and deliverables are best-in-class, modern and digital where possible.  
  • Champion the JW leadership model, utilizing the talent function to deploy it throughout the company and serving as a personal example. 
  • Partner with business leaders to drive talent succession planning.
  • Provide organizational development expertise and capabilities, as well as executive coaching and team effectiveness. 
  • Identify and reviews recommendations for partnering with outside resources. Source vendors and oversee quality of products and services delivered.
  • Utilize people analytics data and metrics to design actionable strategies for talent programs. Create and manage a global talent dashboard.
  • Manage programs and processes within budget and drive ROI
  • Manage the NA SharePoint site as a repository for resources and HR, employee and manager support.
  • Partner with the Global TM VP to lead and facilitate the global talent planning strategy process
  • Serve as the Global Process and SME owner for Talent Management for PeoplePoint (HR platform) decisions


Knowledge and Experience

  • Proven experience leading, developing, and implementing talent practices that attract, retain, develop, and engage top talent.
  • Global experience leading leadership development efforts across multiple cultures.
  • Proven analytical, data analysis and decision-making skills supporting a holistic, ecosystemic perspective toward developing people.
  • Knowledge and experience with best in class technologies that enable talent development and learning
  • Experience working in a complex, matrixed company with multiple business units.
  • Experience with a global company with a distributed workforce; possesses the depth of experience and leadership style to manage a multi-location, globally dispersed, diverse employee base.
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to relate talent development needs to the business and its growth.
  • Strong collaboration skills and demonstrated ability to successful partner with business leaders, HR professionals, talent teams and external vendors to deliver results
  • Demonstrated strategic mindset. Forward thinking ability mixed with an ability and desire to drive programs through to expected results.
  • Pragmatic and solutions focused; strong prioritization skills.
  • Ability and desire to drive change at both a personal and organizational level.


Requirements of Qualified Candidates:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR or related field; Masters or SHRM preferred
  • 10+ years relevant talent management experience
  • HR generalist experience also valued
  • Strong execution skills including program / project management
  • Good systems thinking and process orientation.  
  • Demonstrated ability to interface with all levels within an organization
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skill
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with employee engagement/culture surveys
  • Experience with annual performance management or related programs
  • Experience with SAP SuccessFactors preferred
