THE ROLE

The Director, Strategic Pricing will be a key member of JELD WEN's North American Marketing Team and responsible Lead pricing improvements in all areas including pricing strategy, price setting, price management and analytics. You will report directly to the VP of Marketing and lead a team of 9 direct and indirect reports. This role is based out of our Charlotte, Global Corporate Headquarters, and has the opportunity for hybrid and remote work.

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Set and lead vision and pricing strategies for JELD-WEN’s core products and adjacent products that capture our value proposition and competitive advantages 
  • Define and oversee pricing policies, structure and rates for existing and new products that impact JELD-WEN’s User Agreements 
  • Manage governance and mandates for leadership, which will approve strategic pricing decisions including key pricing initiatives, new pricing and changes and complex partnerships. 
  • Deploy best-in-class pricing analytics, models, and research methods for analyzing our business. 
  • Develop and share competitive intelligence, pricing KPIs and best practices for global and regional pricing organization. 
  • Build consensus among cross-functional and regional teams and influence decision making within senior-level audiences 
  • Manage the pricing department of 10+ team members, build and implement a culture of continuous improvement and employee development. 
  • Develop strategies around regional preferences, weather patterns, seasonal needs. 
  • Develop stocking and selling analytics. 

 

Desired Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree, MBA preferred 
  • 10+ years of relevant pricing strategy and analysis experience in a b2b or b2c manufacturing industry.
  • Experience in operational pricing, managing price increases.
  • Experience evaluating and implementing pricing software.
  • Experience building and leading a team.
  • Sales analytics experience through distribution or retail channels; BI experience, preferred.
  • Strong contract negotiation experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, customer Relationship Management Software
  • Travel required: 25%
