Summary: Exciting opportunity for a true marketing superstar looking for a place to create a brand powerhouse within the building products industry. Someone who can create a compelling storyline across multiple product portfolios for multiple audiences, spanning trade channel partners, residential consumers, and commercial decision makers.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

 

  • Driving a buyer-back, customer-first, partner-centric mindset, oversee the rise of Jeld-Wen to a premier building products brand. Initially within trade channels and ultimately extending to residential consumers and commercial decision makers.
  • Working buyer-back, identify where demand is created and how that demand is served (which channels and which potential partners within those channels).
  • With this end-to-end market segmentation in hand, assist in the product development process and develop market positioning and customer/partner messaging in support of the marketing mix (4P’s).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional commercial peers to ensure strong alignment between business goals, marketing plans, and our ability to deliver a partner-centric experience.
  • Build an organization that has a deep bench of talented and contemporary functional leaders, including multiple potential successors. An ‘A’ player who is confident enough to attract and hire other ‘A’ players.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA (or similar advanced degree) is a plus.
  • 8+ years of experience, including direct responsibility creating marketing strategy across multiple product lines.
  • Ability to connect creative thinking and bold actions to business results.
  • Experience leading significant change and challenging the status quo, primarily through vision, influence, or raw persistence.
  • Desire to build and lead a team of highly empowered individuals.
  • Familiarity with big box retail and/or one-step & two-step distribution is desired, but not required.
  • Familiarity with brand building in an environment where end buyers may purchase infrequently (maybe once or twice in a lifetime), while trade partners buy with regularity, is desired but not required.
