The Channel Development Manager is responsible for driving the creation, execution and management of the marketing programs and event strategies to drive growth across the business. The scope of this role includes program and promotion development, oversight of all marketing programs, events and project-based initiatives that ultimately drives awareness, profitability, revenue and brand loyalty to get the best from our partners.

In addition, the Channel Development Manager will manage all event and tradeshow functions to achieve goals and develop new prospects to increase sales and share.


Principle Duties and Responsibilities


  • Works with key stake holders to develop and launch valuable channel programs that motivate and excite channel partners that build brand loyalty, create brand advocates and drives revenue.  
  • Drives adoption of company programs, promotions, and events.
  • Tracks, maintains, and reports accurate analysis of program results with stake holders.
  • Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates program needs and makes recommendations that attract customers and succeed over the competition to win business.  
  • Effectively communicates and promotes initiatives to maximize sales potential
  • Responsible for program budgeting and forecasting
  • Lead cross functional teams to ensure planning, communication and execution of program launches successfully which includes a structured on-boarding process to help position newly activated partners.
  • Create program documents for internal stake holders and channel partners to clearly identify benefits, terms and conditions, rules of engagement, marketing collateral, etc. that supports programs launch and sustainability.
  • Collect VOC from members and manage feedback for continuous improvement, thus maintaining “Best in Class” programs.
  • Understand emerging trends and competitive landscape and share insights to keep us ahead of the competition
  • Constantly evolve identify and understand needs of key influencers/personas (consumers, contractors, builders, and architects) and develop tools and programs that make it easier to do business and drive results. 
  • Maintain strong vendor relations and manage resources and projects
  • Create goals and measurement plans to gauge success of program initiatives and ensure appropriate investment is profitable.
  • Develops and executes all phases for tradeshow and events. Includes but not limited to ROI, planning, marketing, layout, construction, servicing, administrative procedures, and other details.
  • Travel required 30%


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities


  • Proficient computer skills required including Microsoft Office Suite.  
  • Demonstrate successful ability to build positive partnerships and work collaboratively with cross-functional business teams.  
  • Ability to think strategically with supporting analytical skills.  
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization. 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention-to-detail with the ability to multi-task and prioritize well in a fast paced, dynamic work environment.
  • Ability to adapt to change with creative innovative solutions while adhering to tight deadlines on budget.
  • Proven ability to negotiates with vendors and services for best arrangements within budget
  • Must be a high-energy, motivated self-starter


Education and Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration or related field.  
  • 5 years channel marketing, program, events, and sales negotiation work experience. 
  • High competency in project and stakeholder management.
  • Building products and manufacturing industry a plus.
  • Experience in B2B, B2C marketing, preferred.
