JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Change Communications Leader to join our growing team.
The Role:
The Change Communications Leader is responsible for supporting JELD-WEN’s transformational business and organizational change initiatives. Reporting to the VP, Global Corporate Communications, this role will work in partnership with the Enterprise Transformation Office (TMO) and the Culture & Capabilities workstream to design and implement change communications plans to ensure successful adoption of transformational initiatives across a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders. This leader will be required to think strategically, connect dots and also deliver quality execution. This person will work with closely with Corporate Communications, HR and Investor Relations to ensure consistent message alignment across the global organization. This person will need to leverage current communications tools or consider new approaches to deliver the mindset and behavior shifts needed to support employee adoption of these initiatives. This role has no direct reports but will need to be able to effectively influence and lead across the organization to deliver results.
Essential Functions:
- Serve as the communications change lead to support the Enterprise TMO and Culture & Capabilities workstream, ensuring integration, connectivity and identifying risks or gaps
- Support the Culture & Capabilities workstream by creating integrated communications plans to support the necessary mindset and behavior shifts required to deliver transformational business goals
- Develop and execute communications strategies, plans, core messaging, Q&A and campaigns designed to drive audience understanding and adoption of the behavioral and business changes required
- Support executive and TMO messaging on transformation updates and plans, including but not limited to town hall presentations, email updates, newsletters, videos and internal blogs
- Deliver change communications in the most effective formats and channels, while ensuring strategic transformation initiatives are positioned consistently across the global organization
- Provide regular updates to Investor Relations and Communications teams about upcoming transformation initiatives, their impact and sharing proof points of success along the transformation journey
- Measure, track and regularly report updates on through the TMO and Culture & Capabilities workstream
Qualifications:
- 5+ years’ experience in driving change in a time of rapid transformation globally, across multiple workstreams and timelines
- Knowledge of change management frameworks and models, including assessing stakeholder readiness
- Proven ability to identify and communicate strategy/information to multiple stakeholders using multiple channels
- Excellent communication skills, both written (core message development) and verbal (meetings and presentations)
- Excellent project management skills, ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, problem-solving and decision-making ability; keeps the team organized and prioritizes projects for results
- Strategic thinker with strong business acumen
- Proven ability to be results-driven and detail-oriented
- Ability to successfully build relationships, work in a cross-functional team environment and accomplish work through indirectly leading others
- Ability to be flexible, demonstrate critical thinking and work in fluid, complex environments
- Able to look around corners and anticipate future needs
- Prior experience delivering change management communications within HR or Strategy preferred
- A bachelor’s degree in change management, communications, marketing, journalism or equivalent
