Summary:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated PHP/MySQL and enterprise application Programmer Analyst to join our team. As a member of IT, the programmer analyst supports JELD-WEN’s core business of selling doors and windows. In this role, the application developer/Programmer Analyst supports various business functions including sales, marketing, manufacturing, finance, and operations. The ability to understand requirements, provide technical solutions, and design applications are the key responsibilities.  

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop large-scale enterprise applications using WAMP/PHP/MySQL
  • The ability to logically identify and resolve issues using root cause analysis.
  • Provide development support in debugging and resolving defects as assigned, in support of assigned development projects and/or testing efforts.
  • Provide estimates of the level of work effort and time for completion.
  • Under the leadership of senior developers, develop complex application logic using PHP and utilities.

 

Qualifications:

  • Five or more years of development experience with WAMP/PHP/MySQL in both Windows and Linux/Unix environments and Visual Basic for Windows
  • Experience with server-side design, development and building highly concurrent applications using PHP/HTML/JavaScript/Ajax/PNG
  • Experience with CentOS/bash/csh/sh, Unix/Linux commands and scheduled tasks
  • Excellent understating and working experience with networking protocols including TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL/TLS
  • Experience supporting cloud backup devices such as Dattto backup units.
  • Good knowledge of DBMS such as Oracle, MS SQL Server, My SQL, or Maria DB with skills in the development and tuning of SQL queries.
  • Proficient in testing and maintenance of software
  • Process the verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with technical and non0technical personnel at various levels in the organization.
  • Expertise in PHP class design
  • Experience in performance and scalability improvements of distributed applications
  • Familiarity and exposure to forensic programming supporting legacy applications.
  • Exposure to industrial manufacturing controls, ISO G Code, parametric programming, automation, and process optimization
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or five years of relevant professional experience
