JELD-WEN is currently seeking a CNC Programmer to join our growing team.

 

Job Title: Manufacturing Programmer

Reports To: Sr. IT Project Manager

Location: Vista CA

Position Type: Full Time 

Travel requirement: up to 25%-50%

Work Environment

This job operates in a combination of a professional office environment and a manufacturing setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment

such as computers, phones, and printers/scanners. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

 

Physical Demands

This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The

employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds/kilograms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral

vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

 

Key responsibilities:

  1. Ability to Modify and/or Create PLC and HMI programming, a user of Allen Bradley, Siemens, ABB, or Schneider programming software.
  2. Robotics programming strongly preferred.
  3. Create a performance code to implement the required tests (unit, pact, integration) and make any necessary changes to mitigate risks.
  4. Working knowledge of SQL-based or NoSQL databases.
  5. Basic technical knowledge of cloud-based systems.
  6. Provides troubleshooting expertise for control systems, including root cause analysis
  7. Effectively collaborate with internal and external Plant personnel.
  8. Assists in design reviews for new automated systems, and participates in factory acceptance testing and runoff, installation, site acceptance testing and ramp-up to production.
  9. Incorporate JEM Principals and SQDCI methodologies into programs and projects.
  10. Work with Corporate resources for additional support and implementation projects

 

Key requirements:

  1. Associates degree, Bachelor’s degree preferred in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
  2. 3-5 years of experience in software development, along with the ability to write efficient code OR 5-7n years in lieu of degree. 
  3. Demonstrated understanding of Ladder Logic, Inputs and Outputs, Variables and Constants.
  4. Experience with automation frameworks.
  5. Prior experience with platforms SQL/NoSQL databases and cloud solutions - IT infrastructure exposure.
  6. Ability to develop solutions in regards to budgeting, technical complexity, timing.
  7. Experience creating/executing test plans and making risk assessments.
  8. Excellent written and verbal communication
  9. Demonstrated understanding of standard computer software including (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook etc).

Expected pay for this role is between $59,100.00 to $88,700.00 per hour and is based on experience and qualifications.
