JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Quality Control Coordinator to join our growing team.

 

Position Summary:

The Quality Coordinator is responsible for supporting and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS) and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the organization. This role plays a critical part by managing key quality processes such as document control, calibration, layered process audits (LPAs), and standard operating procedures (SOPs). The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in quality systems within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, write, revise, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and quality documentation.
  • Administer and maintain the QMS, including document control, calibration systems, non-conformance tracking, and audit readiness.
  • Coordinate and monitor Layered Process Audits (LPAs) and ensure timely follow-up on findings.
  • Conduct inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with product and process standards.
  • Facilitate Gemba walks and promote a culture of quality on the production floor.
  • Track and report on key quality metrics and trends.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Provide training and support to team members on quality procedures and QMS tools.

Qualifications:

  • Strong experience with QMS systems, document control, and SOP development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management software/tools.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • 2+ years of experience in a quality role, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other relevant quality standards.
  • Experience with calibration systems, LPA programs, and audit processes.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Quality certifications (e.g., CQIA, CQPA, or similar) are a plus.
