We are searching for a Supply Chain Excellence Manager to join us on an exciting Supply Chain transformation journey. You will be part of our European Supply Chain organisation, playing a vital part in introducing best-in-class supply chain processes and tools to ensure business excellence in our supply chain operations in Europe. This is a Pan-European role, where you will have the possibility to work from one of our locations across Europe (preferably Sweden, the UK or Germany). 

 

Your role

As Supply Chain Excellence Manager, you will be responsible for driving the implementation of best practice (Planning, Materials Management, Logistics & Distribution) processes, procedures and training into the regional facilities. You will be part of the European Supply Chain organisation, where you will be working closely with our Supply Chain Director and the wider Supply Chain team members to deliver on the strategic objectives. This role is Pan-European and has a flexible working location. You will also have the flexibility to work from home. Travel activity is expected as you will be working with key stakeholders at multiple sites across 12 countries within Europe.


Reporting directly to the Supply Chain Director, the scope of the role is to drive Supply Chain Excellence across key business areas through the introduction of best practice assessment, tools and processes. Your role will be a crucial resource for our European Supply Chain team and Regional Operations team. You will play a key role in ensuring Operational and Supply Chain Excellence levels are maintained and developed within the supply chain operations across Europe. 

 

Your responsibilities

  • Act as interface between European Supply Chain team and Regional Operations team as we move towards “One Supply Chain”
  • Identify improvement opportunities and drive projects
  • Lead and facilitate Supply Chain Excellence initiatives across Europe
  • Educate, coach, and develop teams in support of the Supply Chain transformation 
  • Proactively support the regions in the resolution of supply chain issues
  • Support the development and delivery of Supply Chain KPIs
  • To live by the JELD-WEN values to build businesses ethically and safely as well as ensure adherence to all compliance standards and operate with integrity at all times

 

Your skills and experiences

  • Strong background in Supply Chain Management
  • Several years of experience from a similar multi-site role in a matrix organisation, including experience in driving IBP process improvements
  • A university degree in business or a technical field preferably supplemented with an APICS/ASCM certification or similar
  • Solid experience with Lean methods and tools
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and demonstrated ability to effectively communicate technical and non-technical information to stakeholders on all organisational levels
  • Mastery of MS Excel and experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g. SAP)
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is a prerequisite for this role; fluency in German, French or Scandinavian language would be an advantage
