About the Role
Location: Europe (flexible, but within commuting distance of an existing JELD‑WEN site)
Working model: Full‑time, minimum 60% on‑site
Travel: Up to 15% across JELD‑WEN Europe locations
In this position, you will work closely with the Senior Manager – Internal Controls and teams across Europe. Your mission is to support the design, testing, documentation, and improvement of internal business controls. You will collaborate with Finance, Operations, HR, Sales, Internal Audit and external auditors, making this a highly visible and influential role.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the annual internal controls testing cycle
- Documenting and updating processes and controls across multiple European sites
- Identifying and driving improvements or simplifications to existing controls
- Supporting remediation activities where gaps are identified
- Participating in system changes to ensure adequate internal controls
- Providing training and coaching to colleagues across Europe
- Collaborating with Global Internal Audit and external auditors
- Assisting with ad‑hoc requests related to controls and compliance
Who You Are
You bring experience from accounting, internal audit or internal controls in a multi‑country or multi‑site organisation. You are analytical, structured, curious and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
You should have:
- Solid understanding of internal controls, process documentation and financial risks
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial statements
- Experience communicating complex or technical topics in a clear way
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across countries and functions
- Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach
- A degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent (preferred)
Language Requirements
Because this role works closely with teams across Europe, excellent written and spoken English is essential for all candidates.
To ensure efficient collaboration in markets where this role frequently operates, the following applies:
- If you are based in Sweden or Denmark, you must be fluent in Swedish or Danish.
- If you are based in the United Kingdom, fluency in English is fully sufficient.
(Other European languages are beneficial but not required.)
