JOB PURPOSE:

 

Drive JELD-WEN sales, market share, and gross margin objectives by generating project specifications & preference for JELD-WEN products.  The Architectural Consultant (AC) secures JELD-WEN as basis of design for appropriate projects that their Architectural Accounts have designed.  Utilizing intimate product application knowledge & industry expertise the AC is to establish a “trusted-advisor” relationship with the design firms in their territory.  The AC also provides technical and sales support to the local JELD-WEN sales team (including dealers), to appropriately select & utilize JELD-WEN products in both high end residential and commercial projects.      

 

KEY INITIATIVES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Continuously target, develop & maintain Architecture Accounts to increase JELD-WEN specifications and market share.
  • Achieve annual sales targets through collaboration with local JELD-WEN resources to ensure project opportunities are closed and won. 
  • Provide product and solution expertise including delivery of Continuous Education modules to the design community & training others as required in proper project execution.
  • Use the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) program to plan activities, manage accounts, manage contacts, identify and track opportunities, manage leads and communicate pertinent information.
  • Facilitate services which may include: initial consultation, performance analysis, code compliance, design assistance, implement Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and shop drawings, specifications support, product mockups and samples.
  • Assist and coordinate site survey, field testing and on-site installation guidance.
  • Support our efforts to provide our customers and sales team members with easily accessible product documentation data and specification tools.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • People Skills - A team player with the ability to build positive relationships and work collaboratively, gain consensus with diverse audiences and forge alliances with internal and external contacts. 
  • Technical Skills - Ability to read and understand construction documents and knowledge of installation methods, and local and national building codes
  • Communication Skills - Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Presentation Skills - Ability to prepare and deliver a professional presentation to large and small audiences both internal and external.
  • Organizational Skills -   Ability to organize personal time & travel along with sample materials and documentation to optimize customer facing time.
  • Ethics - Conduct yourself in accordance with the JELD-WEN Policies & Procedures and treat others as you would like to be treated. Adhere to all company policies, procedures and ethics
  • Professional Accreditation –   Accredited CDT, CCPR or established date to take exam (12-month maximum to achieve certification).
  • Education –. Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or minimum of five years related sales experience and/or training, preferably in the window and door industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 5+ years of management, leadership experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Customer Relationship Management Software, Electronic Pricing Catalogues, Expense Reporting Programs, AutoCAD, Sketch Up, and Internet Web Browsers.
